A somewhat apocalyptic day

By Shefali Kumar

Shefali is a photographer working primarily with people and the natural world, drawn to the dark and the unsettling rather than the conventionally beautiful. Her images dwell in shadow and ambiguity, finding tension in ordinary subjects and holding the viewer in the uneasy moment where something mundane occurs. Instead of aiming for accuracy, she attempts to use elements of a photograph to conjure an entirely new narrative.
